As we wander through life, we encounter obstacles that raise questions like: How to overcome them? Such questions lead us to the tasks of everyday life: fighting for survival, finding food and shelter, building tools and communities.
Some of us stop wandering and settle down. The longer we stay in a permanent home, the more we get used to everyday life. Most problems are solved. We have our ways of doing things. Still, the questions never end.
## Philosophical questions
As [[Homo sapiens|humans]] we also *wonder* about life and things beyond the physical realm. This [[wondering]] also raises questions like: Where do we come from? Where do we go? These questions lead us to [[philosophy]].
In the beginning, all questions about life and our world fell within the realm of philosophy. Over time, sciences have emerged that have taken up some of these questions.
Yet, many fundamental questions remain for philosophy to deal with – and questions, one could say, are the best part of philosophy.[^1]
